Welcome to Mollenhoff Acupuncture

I am so grateful that you have found your way here, and I am honored for the opportunity to be part of your healing journey. Whether your concerns are physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, the principles at work are the same. Healing begins with restoring a relationship to the natural intelligence that organizes and sustains our life. Acupuncture is a regenerative therapy — an ancient medicine designed not to force outcomes, but to nudge the body’s own healing processes back into balance.
Through gentle stimulation of specific points along pathways of circulation and energy flow, acupuncture:

-
Regulates the nervous system
-
Improves circulation of blood, nutrients, and vital substances
-
Supports immune function
-
Enhances the motivational centers of the brain
-
Facilitates stillness, deeper awareness, and insight
It helps clear the obstacles to healing, whether those blocks are physical, emotional, mental, or energetic. For over 5,000 years, acupuncture has served as a powerful tool for cultivating resilience, relieving suffering, and creating more meaning in our lives. In my practice, I view acupuncture not just as a technique, but as a way of engaging with the deepest levels of human health — honoring both the seen and unseen dimensions of our existence.
I believe that healing is about more than symptom management.
It is about restoring vitality, cultivating self-awareness, and strengthening the body's inherent drive to move toward health and wholeness.
As a practitioner, my role is to listen carefully — not just to symptoms, but to the whole of your experience. I aim to partner with you, helping to uncover areas where your natural resilience can be supported and your own inner healing intelligence can be awakened.
Every person’s journey is unique.
Sometimes we seek acupuncture for relief from pain; sometimes for clarity in times of emotional hardship; sometimes simply to reconnect with ourselves more deeply.
Wherever you are on your path, I meet you there — with respect, compassion, and an abiding trust in the quiet power of life to heal itself when given the right conditions.
Thank you for considering entrusting me with your care.
About Me
My name is Clark Mollenhoff. I hold a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and am licensed in the State of Maryland. I have been in private practice since 2012, serving patients with a range of health needs.
In my practice, I focus on creating individualized treatments that support each person's natural ability to heal. My approach integrates traditional acupuncture methods with a thoughtful consideration of each patient’s physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors. Whether the goal is pain relief, stress reduction, or overall well-being, I work collaboratively with patients to help them achieve meaningful and lasting results.

My Philosophy
Healing is a personal process shaped by our bodies, experiences, and the deeper forces within us.
Acupuncture, as I practice it, is a way to engage the body’s natural intelligence and remove blocks that prevent balance and healing.
Rather than imposing fixes, my goal is to support your body’s ability to restore itself. This may not mean eliminating every symptom, but it often leads to greater resilience, clarity, and well-being.
Acupuncture works by:
-
Supporting regenerative processes
-
Balancing the nervous system
-
Enhancing awareness and connection to self
At its core, acupuncture is a medicine that helps the body and mind find their natural rhythm again.
What to Expect
Your first visit will begin with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. This helps me create a plan that is tailored to your needs.

During treatment, you will rest comfortably while fine, sterile needles are gently placed at specific points on your body. Most patients find the experience relaxing and calming. The needles remain in place for about 20–40 minutes while your body responds to the treatment.

After your session, you may feel relaxed, energized, or more balanced. Some conditions improve quickly, while others may require a series of treatments to achieve lasting results. Together, we will monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

Acupuncture is a process. Each session builds on the last, helping to regulate your system, relieve symptoms, and restore your natural ability to heal.
